Non VESA monitor adaptors

Didn't even realise this was a thing!

I have a cheap 32" AOC monitor, it performs perfectly for my needs.

Having a re-jig of my home office and want to mount it on the wall, turned it around and it has no VESA mounting points!

There are adaptor kits for sale, just wondering if they are any use or will just be a crappy mount and probably drop the screen to the floor at some point?

Anyone used them?

Not used them, but I am interested as my son has two (good) monitors that are not VESA and we just discussed a wall mount idea after he saw our office huge TV for online meetings on a wall folding mount...

That’s a lot of words to say “shelf”.

You can't really angle and move a shelf though.

We got a load at work years ago. Someone bulk bought a bunch of monitors. Turned out they had no vesa mounts. The generic mount kit basically clamped them top and bottom. Bit like a massive version of those universal phone holders you used to get for the car.

They worked fine but I hated seeing the arms gripping the monitor. Something like this
