Hi guys , I've just bought a second hand lumia 800 , the problem is my email will work when using wifi but when no wifi signal is available it will not receive them . Never had this problem with my last phone ( htc wildfire ) is there anything The stw hive can suggest ?

Is you data connection switched on? You can check under Settings->Mobile Network.

What network are you on?
Works fine for my lumia. Can U get internet, etc when not on WiFi?
Otherwise sounds like a setting problem
Works fine on my 800 too. Do you get an internet connection when away from WiFi?
On Vodafone network , didn't think to try Internet connection as I rarely use it on my phone mainly use it for email.
Check if the browser works, I'm gonna guess it doesn't in which case if data is switched on then your mobile network/APN settings are wrong.
If you're on the latest WP7.8 software, you should be able to reset it and have it auto-detect them, if not google "windows phone vodafone apn settings" or similar.
