Every time I see him land, I'm disappointed he doesn't go straight into the worm.

Still gives me goosebumps watching the getting out of the 'basket'

Watching that live was one of the most edge-of-the-seat things I've ever watched. For a moment I genuinely thought I was going to witness someone's death on live TV. Replays just can't compare. Still a cool video though.

I watched it live in a Vegas hotel room on my laptop.

My room looked out on to this billboard. My view was a little more from the left of this though.

Pretty sure this pic was taken early on in the process. It was morning, but as the broadcast went on, I could see traffic stopping, people crowding the streets to watch it. Was a little like the way I imagine the moon landing to have been. People looking at any screen they could find, and glued to it.

Morecombe Bay by the looks of it.

Brilliant film and achievement, but shows that we don't always need to go 'bigger'.

Has man every gone bigger than landing on the moon or landing a robot on Mars? Maybe not - but has man since the Moon landing done something quite so impressive as the jump?

I watched it live, an awesome feat but nothing like the moon landings.

I was six when Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon. It was shown live on telly about 3am, this was a time when TV finished at midnight with the national anthem. My parents woke me up to watch it. We'd talked about nothing else at school for weeks leading up to it, everyone talked about, which is why six years olds were fascinated.

I spent a few days with Felix when he did the Channel thing. Top bloke but I never imagined he'd go on to the jump.

You can really see in those videos the gopro distortion effect that makes the earth look like a globe when everyone knows it is really a flat disc...

Ah those videos are "fake" you see TurnerGuy - all filmed in CGI, in a massive tank of water, on a Zero G plane or something. ๐Ÿ˜•
