I'm looking to get away for a short break with some biking some walking.
The Wife wants to head north to the Yorkshire dales. If anyone can reccomend some nice friendly accomodation which is both boot and bike friendly (Ha I know....)
we prefer self catering cottages but would look at a nice B&B small hotel if it's a cracker.
We've just been to this place in Hawes. Very nice clean and friendly. (Avoid the Indian restaurant in the town centre!)

We stayed at the Punchbowl Inn ([url= http://pbinn.co.uk/ ]Punchbowl[/url]) last year in Swaledale, food was fab, room was plush and you can walk and ride from the door (we went to do some walking so you might want to check about bike facilities). They have a sister pub further up the road called the Charles Bathurst Inn, which looks similar but we only had a drink there. Would definately recommend.
