Just been to see Conviction and I thought it was really good. I'm really looking forward to Black Swan, wanted to see that today but it isn't out yet! Oh and watching the trailers, The Fighter with Christian Bale and Mark Walhberg looks quite good too. What have you seen lately that was good? Or what are you looking forward to?

I didn't fancy 127 hours, I tried to read his book and it was utter drivel. Is it worth seeing the film? Isn't it supposed to be gruesome in bits (well it is Danny Boyle)?

I'm looking forward to True Grit, the Coen Bros western re-make.

And also Blue Valentine, mainly because Michelle Williams makes me go weak at the knees.

Haven't hear of Blue Valentine (runs off to IMDB...) mmm not sure looks a bit "lovey dovey" may be wrong though and Ryan Gosling is cute. LEt us know what it's like if you go and see it.

Normally, I avoid relationship movies and roundly abuse my female housemates for their unceasing addiction to 'em. I think this one might be different, though - as in, entirely unsentimental.

But it's mainly an excuse to watch Michelle Williams. Splendid actress.

The Way Back was good.

Also went to see Machete during the week - hilarious exploitation film. Wouldn't normally be my thing, but it was a hoot!

The Social Network was very good, worth the entry fee just for the camera work on the Henley Regatta section.

The Way Back was good.

What's it about? There's a poster for it on my dogwalk and I haven't got a clue..

Really? I'm about half way through the book now and I think it's pretty good. The guy is/was an accident waiting to happen though. Always seemed to be getting himself into scrapes.

Ah, googled:

Siberian gulag escapees walk 4000 miles overland to freedom in India.

Sounds great!

IJ, it's about a group of prisoners that escape from a Siberian gulag and walk south through Mongolia, China, Tibet and into India.

(you don't have to put up with Farrell for too long)

Would this be a good time to pimp my mate's blog / website?

He does film reviews, and they're usually spot on and entertaining reading. Last ones he did were 127 Hours, which someone was asking about, and The Green Hornet, which I watched on Saturday and thought was superbly silly.
