Try and fly with Aer Lingus and see if you can pre-clear in Dublin instead of the states.

Stick an alert with skyscanner, my flight this year to LA has veered from 1000 euro to 530 euro. (I nabbed two at 720 euro)

Sky scanner- best deal by far £2k for us all with Virgin.
