New to Samsung, why...

New to Samsung, why do I have two battery readings and two times being displayed?

[#13535617]

After years of Sony Xperia faithfulness I have moved to Samsung because of their reportedly longer software support. I was going for an Xperia 5V but support ends this year, so I plumped for a S24+ where updated software lasts until next decade.

It's taking a bit of getting used to tbh. For example, where is the auto correct keyboard?

Biggest bugbear is the weird greyed out time and battery info at the top of the home screen. I don't think I want them. Can anyone advise me how to get rid of them please?

Is that because your wallpaper is a screenshot of another phone?

Oooooh...

Looking at it now and the ghostly values have not changed. I think you might be correct. Many thanks 👍🏼

🤣 thanks for this, it's brightened up my morning. I know I shouldn't laugh at technical incompetence as I'm beginning the reach an age where my kids can out-tech me but that made me chuckle.

Dunno why, but that dog reminds me of my mum giving me side eye when she first saw me with a tattoo (or a piercing, or a beard)

Dunno why and you have to be ancient to get the reference, but this reminds me of the "not the 9 o'clock news" hifi shop sketch. "You want woofers and tweeters with that grandad"?

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

Max can be very critical at times 🐕 but he's a good lad. He's not met any snakes yet but he's fine with hosepipes.
