Google throws up alot of classic mini forums and only a couple of sparsely populated newer mini forums. A couple of weeks ago someone linked into one that had a lot of issues discussed (and alot of members). Reason why I ask is my boss has her car at a main stealer who is asking for alot of money to cure a problem!

It's not a BMW - they won't put their badge on it.
It's made by disgruntled ex-rover workers at Cowley.

MrSmith, discussions on there will be along the lines of 'why has Tony and Guy gone downhill'? and 'why do people keep putting their cars in the way when I am reversing'?

DD, dont worry the cars are too delicate and impractical for me. If I was going that way it'd be a mk2.5 MX5 everyday of the week hands down.

Had a Cooper S until mileage and practicality got in the way...was a great car to have for a few years, most fun I've ever had since my Saab 900 Turbo 8. They're a bit ubiquitous now and the newer one is even more cartoonish than the original.

The mini2 forum was really good though when there were any questions - very, ahem, enthusiastic owners on there...I only used it in the first few years after the MINI came out...I suspect it'll be full of haridressers/beauticians/driving instructors now.

Fond memories of the cooper though, my first one was a blackeyed-purple with a white roof (totally metrosexual) 8)
