Even the bottom of the range 13" with my university discount is still £860!?!
I wonder what else you could get comparable, or better for that price?
Dont get me wrong, I love Macs, I have 2 already (1 nearly dead).

I have 3, one is being returned and swapped for a Dell for 1/2 cost.
Mac hardwear is awesome, pretty etc worth the money imho, but not a bargain by any means.
Shame OSX is slow compared to windows, but the lack of virus's is fantastic
i have one, i guess you would call me a apple fan boy but i wouldnt have anything else now, beautifully engineered bit of equipment that will still have resale value in 3 years time,
