I'm after a new digital camera. Not ready for a full on dslr but something with a good optical zoom built in. About £100-£150 to spend. Has anybody got any personal recommendations or seen any sale bargains?

It's a fantastic piece of kit and the picture quality is very good.

Ricoh R8's are going for £150 (down from £250) I have been a big Ricoh fan since film days (GR 28mm prime) and have a GR-D and R6.

Fuji S8100 off Amazon. Great camera, less than £150 unbeatable spec.
