Any good, new horror books out recently? I'm not after gore, just pant-wetting scares and weirdness.

Have you tried Justin Cronin's books The Twelve and The Passage? Recommended.

The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August.

Matches your weirdness brief.

+1 read that the other week. Very enjoyable. Not scary.

I started World War Z, and it's quite gripping. Very well-written

I'll suggest to Kate/Claire next time I'm on her blog to write a scary book!
'Tis a good book, the next Claire North book will be different, I believe the title will be Touch.

I've just ordered The Passage. Cheers for the suggestion.
