Amazon have despatched my copy but it wasn't waiting for me at home this evening. I had to cook to some Ulrich Schnauss instead. Ah well, it should be here tomorrow to chase away the Tuesday blues.

Classic BoC, the album builds and builds in to a crescendo of pure awesome!

Should've pre ordered from Bleep - got my cd on Sat and download link yesterday.

More classic BoC than the Campfire Headphase. ๐Ÿ™‚

Edit - though after 7 years wait I guess the odd day isn't such a big deal.

Never heard of them before, but if they have a cinematic orchestra type uniqueness I'll give em a whirl.

Liking it, the first album that I've bought this year which hasn't been a bit of a disappointment (Daft Punk, i'm looking at you)

Makes me feel quite uneasy in places.......which is nice

Early Autechre probably the nearest thing, Com Truise often gets likened, I think his earlier stuff is probably closest or under his Airliner alias, not really the same but one of my favourite artists.

And a shameless plug for my own stuff - http://soundcloud.com/800-xl

Yeah.....it's definitely a grower ๐Ÿ˜ฏ , i tried to listen to it in the shop on sat as i was working on my own and had the place to myself (apart from those damn pesky customers) but it is not an album you can play in the background whilst doing something else....especially building a wheel as you find yourself getting drawn in to a particular reoccurring resonance/bleep/noise and as it builds i found i was holding my breath and not paying attention to what spoke i had just tweaked so i switched it off and went back to Gilles Peterson on 6 music (excellent btw) which was far more conducive to nipple tweaking........Janelle Monae's voice ..........Mmmmm.

I've since listened to it at home in complete isolation, door locked, blinds drawn, phone switched off, fogger and lasers switched on ๐Ÿ˜€ , malt whisky poured, t'weed in pipe and comfy listening seat equidistant from KRK VXT monitors and sub to give me the full on BOC rumble and it is quite a full on experience, not as "commercial" or as friendly as Trans Canada Highway but i guess in the long run it will prove to be a more complete "Album" experience for me anyway.

Once i get my tea finished i'm gonna give it a go with the Grado's to see what they bring out.

Poncy hi-fi talk eh ๐Ÿ˜€

Not really comparable but i'd place "The Knife" up there with BOC for a listening experience, and for that matter Karin's own project release "Fever Ray" especially (Karin Dreijer Andersson from the Knife).

Only managed to get to listen to about half of it today. Quite like it.

Off to do an MTL ride tomorrow on day off so will stick it on the MP3 player for a listen or two.
