The wonderful cyclist Lizzie Deignan was on the BBC this morning, explaining how the couch to 5k has been such a success, that she is sponsoring a new app, Sofa to cycle. An 8 week programme to get people back out on their bikes.

I'm sure this doesn't apply to all of us STWers, but it might just help a friend, relative or colleague to start a new hobby, exercise regime or even commute to work on a bike.

It’s a good idea, as anything that normalises cycling is a good idea. I’m a bit dubious given the state of driving at the moment and the lack of safe paths etc how well this is going to stick mind you.

I do like Joe...find him refreshingly entertaining as he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously.

This sounds like a great idea...would be good if local bike clubs got behind it to encourage come and try rides as well...get people starting to ride and then the clubs help keep them riding (hopefully...clubs aren't for everyone!).
