Photos almost gone sepia in tone.

Can't find an app that lets me individually adjust RGB?

Any suggestions guys?

Don't need to do loads, less that 10 pics.

You're supposed to use recent photos for OLD!

I know! Ironic, eh?

Loads to make new pics old but restoring a pic to "new" is difficult it would seem.lol

Yeah,tried that mate.

No joy, but that could be down to me. Didn't let me individually correct RGB?

I'd use Photoshop, Gimp seems to be the go-to freeby replacement - try that. You'll need a filter layer to remove the red/brown of the sepia, then tweak the hue and saturation. I don't think you'd get very good results simply turning colours up or down.

I never got on with Gimp.  getpaint.net is my go-to.

Photopea is quite good. It's online with an android app too

I used ACDSee which isn't too expensive and got really good (IMO) results. The colour is still there it's just faded.

Can't remember the exact process but essentially I just turned the colour up to replace the ink/dye that faded the most until it looked right (helps if there's something in the photo you can concentrate on trying to match).

Then perhaps you should have recommended that.

For online, cross-platform use I'd go with either Pixlr or Polarr. If you don't want to mess about with layers, etc. then for what you describe Polarr will do fine.

On android you could try Cyberlink PhotoDirector, Think there is a free version but can't remember what the restrictions are on the free one

Huge thanks guys!

I'll try all of them if need be.lol

They are pics from my childhood in the 70's and I was a little shocked to see how bad they had deteriorated so want to get a good digital version sorted asap.

Pics and video are my number one important possession, way, way above anything else I own.

Thanks again.👍
