For reasons too complicated to go into I need to get a new laptop for the Mrs today.

Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Will be used for uploading photo's, word documents and spreadsheet stuff. The kids will want to play Minecraft on it too I'd imagine.

Budget of £300- £350 but it needs to be something we can buy and take home today. Thoughts?

Ta

A few weeks ago I bought this Lenovo for my wife from Argos

Lenovo Flex2 Pentium 14 Inch 4GB 500GB Touch Laptop

The CPU is not the fastest but more than adequate for her surfing/word processing needs.

The reason I chose this was the 1920 x 1080 screen resolution

Pretty happy with it so far

£330 so in the middle of your budget. I think you should get £20 of vouchers with it as well.

Someone on here recommended me these guys in Manc for a desktop, might be worth a look for laptops too?

They were very helpful when I called for advice.

Cheers cougar. That would probably be a good choice but I'm going to struggle to get up to Bolton today so it's going to be high street, tesco/argos/pc world stuff

Will take a look at the above.
