So I live in central-ish Edinburgh. It’s a narrow street with cars parked on both sides & it’s narrow enough that you can’t get a car & bike to pass each other going in opposite directions. I’d guess most people would drive down the road a lot less than 20 mph.

Some woman has managed to roll her SUV completely upside down while driving up the street. WTAF 😳

Higher front bumper, bigger wheels, higher centre of gravity and excess mass Vs lower, curved, stationary object.

That gif is from a roundabout not far from where I live. It’s a nightmare for people ignoring the lanes, and people go straight over it on a fairly regular basis too.

What’s the SUV version of a whiskey throttle.

I've seen so many upside down cars since I moved to Sheffield. I thought it was a local tradition. Turns out the roads are just full of aggro bell ends.

RIP to the GR Yaris getting squished by the beauty salon taxi.

Yep was awoken late one night by blue flashing lights coming thru the curtains and there was 4 or or 5 police cars scattered blocking the street with everyone stood around looking at a car on its roof.

We had a sticky out kerb feature for car flipping.

I watched a little old lady doing it, got tyre to tyre with a big Merc trying to manoeuver her little Ford Fusion into a space on the high street. Instead of unsticking herself and moving round it. She gunned it and flipped the car at pretty much walking pace.

Bet you someone had their front tyre pointing out. Seen it with work a few times the tyres touch and the moving car ‘drives’ up the wheel etc before rolling over. Popular with hybrids and I expect soon full electrics due to the torque.

usually at low speeds as well
