not ahead of it's time at all, by the time charlie brooker and chris morris got round to translating Brookers TvGoHome fictional character in the fictional tvtimes listing "****", the whole poncy arty bollocky ****s in shoreditch had moved on. Charlie Brooker was spot on in the original though. TV is way behind.

TV is way behind by definition, it can never dictate satire to the written word. If you know of a more eviscerating TV show than Nathan Barley (for it's time, 2004-ish?) then let me know. The lad who played Barley even said that a sequel was unlikely, on the basis that Hoxton was so full of Teds like Nathan that it would barely be satirical nowadays.
