Well, I finally found something to replace Breaking Bad!
The atmosphere, pacing, political backdrop etc has me hooked!

Wallop, it can be - but it only adds to the shock when the very matter of fact violence does erupt.

I am really enjoying it but don't think the pacing is slow. It is fairly rattling through Escobar's career and I have only seen 5 episodes. My only gripe is with the character of Murphy. He seems a bit one dimensional. I reckon his partner Pena is more interesting.
