that was actually horrific and not for the faint hearted I could not watch to the end. Alpin schadenfreude is one thing but if you enjoy that I am genuinely worried. What is funny about a horrific crash ending with smashed helmet [the one on his head]and bleeding balls?

Nope, its definitely funny. When my crashes get caught on camera, I am totally ok with other people laughing - hell, I find them funny.

Yeah I know that "life is funny". And I often take the piss out of what many would find unacceptable. Although it would appear that I draw the line at laughing at someone in intense pain. I find that quite reassuring. I'm not in the least bothered that other people found it funny - just glad that I didn't 8)

That's well faked, not a single person in the group watching even follows him jumping down the steps, not even hair motion, not a moving arm/foot, utterly still until precisely 20sec in and then all of them simultanously start moving with rather rapid acceleration and apparently not in any great relation to the injured kid. I call BS.
