Nah, that's the result when all the youth use it for the first time.
I heard it was just wet lube with added tingle (chilli powder).

Just don't use their hand sanitiser instead (which they did sell).
I never liked their lubes - they collect all the dirt and you end up with a sticky congealed mess that is a right pain to clean off

Muc-Off lubes are the worst. Turn black almost as soon as you’ve spun the pedals. Truly awful product.
