MTB holiday insurance when you're decrepit

I've used the likes of Yellow Jersey, Snowcard, etc. for MTB holiday insurance over the years but, after some incidents over the past year, I need top up insurance due to underlying health conditions (having been in hospital and getting out patient treatment).

Has anyone run into this? If so, any recommendations for MTB insurance cover? I'm off to Morzine in the summer, so need decent cover.

Not got a helpfull answer but very interested on what the responses will be as was diagnosed with cancer later last year and currently undergoing Chemo and finding any level of cover is as much as the rest of the trip making it pretty eye watering!

I was mountain biking in the Alps last August and went with DogTags cover. I had to declare my Type 1 diabetes, and that I'm 5yrs post cancer treatment (hope everything's going well @oliverracing, keep positive and give me a shout if you want to moan or blether). Then the usual anti-depressants, cholesterol, lung disease and blood pressure stuff that comes with being middle aged. If I recall correctly, the silver cover came in at around £150.

I'm heading back to the same area of the Alps in four weeks for a ski trip. On the snow I'm going with the Co-op as they covered all the hospital fees / repatriation flights etc when I had the Bulgarian incident snowboarding in Bansko 10 years ago. I declared all the same stuff and with the added Silver ski cover it came to around £60 for the week.

I appreciate it's very different when you're undergoing active treatment, but it's worth shopping around. I believe that some of the travel insurance companies that actively target those of us who are...ahem, slightly older, might even cover you for certain conditions and active treatment without penalty.

All Clear. They have covered us for the last few year's of trips in Europe. Happily, we have never had to claim though. They covered stage 4 prostate cancer (post chemo+radio, but whilst under ADT), although they do load it if you have had overnight hospital admissions in the last 2 years.
