I've just got my renewal quote through from M&S.

Does anyone know how do I find out whether my £4k undeclared bike cover is still in force?

ring the insurer and ask them- how else will you know for sure?

They were keeping it for renewal policies last year when I called them but it was under review

If you just renew then yes, the cover remains the same as before.

I had a good chat with them last week as mine is up for renewal as well. He was a cyclist too so was pretty informed on the matter.

just as well, my renewal was £260 but when i tried doing a new quote online with the new system it was over £650.

Not sure for how long the renewal thing will last though, even he didn't know. At least i know i'll have decent cover for another year at least.

Ring them?

The conversation I had with them basically said that if you accept the renewal then it's the same policy as last year and includes the cover, but it's not a product they offer any more so if you get them to requote then it's a new policy which doesn't have that cover.

Will ring them, but can't do it at work, so will have to wait until I have a spare evening to sit on hold 🙁

The quote has gone up to about £450 (from £350ish last year), but if it means I can keep my bike cover (11 bikes in the garage on last count) then it'll be worth it!

They didn't send full terms and conditions with the renewal.

I spoke to them last week - as the above, if it's a renewal then no change, if it's a new policy then you're on new terms and conditions.

Has anyone moved house and retained cover? Am wondering if I will lose my continuation if I move?

Yes. And my premium went down when I moved.

Pleased? Just a bit.
