[Closed] M&S home & contents insurance

Renewal time for me and M&S seem to be everyone's favourite, but I've a couple of questions -

Does anyone have experience of making a claim for a stolen bike? What was the process like?

Also, do you need to supply proof of purchase or a valuation of any kind? Most of my bikes I've built myself over a period of time, and while I've got the odd receipt lying around, I don't have anything I can point to and say "that shows how much this bike's worth". What would you expect to do in this case, provide a component list to establish replacement value, or just provide a total figure?

I reckon if its worth doing, then I want to know exactly what to expect should the worst happen.
