Has anyone got any experiences of MP3 editing software? I have searched and there are loads out there, i just want to be able to cut the ends off some tracks. Ideally free ones as i only have a few i want to do so any recommendations?

Plus one for Audacity - free + does the job.
Quicktime or iTunes actually (edit track start/stop times by getting info/properties on a track and setting them under Options. Then "Create New Version" of the track and it will be minus the bits you don't want.)
Audacity another +1, will need the lame plug in as well.

You could do it on your phone with ringdroid (android, not sure If available on anything else).
It's meant for cutting down songs to make ting tones, but should work just as well.
