Any motorbike instructors in?

I did my light motorcycle test many years ago (on an automatic) which means I can ride any size automatic now.

A, can I ride a Honda DCT bike on this license?
B, what would I need to do to change to full geared? Hopefully not my theory test and CBT again!

Thanks
Nick

Www.therevcounter.com is a good place to ask.

A: There was mention of this in the DCT test in this months Ride magazine
B: It's all about horsepower and what not these days, the NC700 is 51bhp and requires an A1 license (above 33bhp)

DVLA? Everythings changed so much with the motorbike licenses

Thanks, I can ride any BHP on my (A) license when automatic.

Its just the question of having a manual option on the bike, would this be legit still for me?

As with cars, the lack of presence of a clutch lever (pedal for cars) is what designates it as automatic. Doesn't matter if you have "manual" control over which gear it's in. Honda DCT is fine on an auto licence.

No need to retake theory, just do module 1 & 2 tests on a manual bike.

Thanks Simon...
NC700x sounds perfect for me.
