Anyone here doing one of the rides?
I'm booked onto the London one, despite living in the Midlands.
Should be a great sight with 1000 dapper riders on the route.
I'll be on my 'modern classic' 1982 Gsx400f.

I'm still trying to sort my wardrobe, which is difficult for me being a terminally scruffy oik, but I managed to score myself some killer Harris Tweed at the weekend.
Should be fun ๐
Looks like an STW Bighitters day out.

dapper
I am out.

What a ****tish thing to say.
It's a charity event for men's health and prostate cancer. Riding vintage bikes and dressing up gives it a USP, makes it fun for all involved and creates more spectacle and so raises awareness for the charity.
You say the same about people dressing up for the marathon etc?
You sir, are a tool...
Nah,he just can't grow a 'tache ๐

Before we all pile on. I assume IHN never watched the video in the OP, and didn't realise it was a charity thing.
Even then you have to get a minute in to find out the charity link.
....still a fairly shitty negative attitude to have tho.
Not sure a DT 175 is a vintage bike

You'd be right, I didn't.

Maybe but in all honesty, I saw the 'taches and tweed and jumped to the conclusion that it was some sort of ironic hipster nonsense

On this occasion, you're right. However, in the spirit of goodwill, if someone is doing it and sends me a JustGiving link or whatever, I'll sponsor them.
Thanks IHN. I should have stated it was a charity event at the top, but to be honest I was just interested if there were any Stw'ers doing it too. I'm rubbish at bullying folks to sponsor me but link below should anyone fancy donating. ๐

Sadly, what was my first real bike and was thrashed to death is now a stupidly priced collectors item- the DT175. I refuse to call it a classic. I now have a classic. Google Watney. That ones mine. I have the tweed, could trim the beard to a ' tache but not sure a bow tie is me.

To be fair, I thought the same. But I am making a converted effort to be more positive at the moment.
Hipsters are people too.
A mate of mine is doing the Manchester one. I suspect me turning up in full KTM gear on an unruly supermoto with antisocial cans won't quite fit the bill.
could be an excuse for n+1 ๐ก
Hipsters are people too.
Are they though? Are they?
Kayak/Oliver - Done.
didn't realise it was a charity thing.
A [s]man[/s] student climbed Snowdon in his underpants for charity. Perhaps someone else can make a witty connection? I can't be arsed/lack wit.
