I even called virgin back and they didn't have a record of the last number either.
Happened 4 times in the last 24 hrs.

Have you tried calling it from another (known) number to see if it always does it?

Yeah, 10 mins after it switched itself off and I turned it back on, I got a call from a friend.
Its not every time.

was on 15% yes, and was low all the other times. But how come it can receive calls after?

I have found the lenovo support forum that covers this, seems like its common and not easy to fix.
Oh well new fone time.

Had similar probs with mine, sent to lenovo, they scrubbed and upgraded the OS to a newer version ahead of launch and now its fine
