Took bike in for mot today and it needs the following.
Chain and sprockets
Front and rear brake pads
New front tyre
Front and rear wheel bearings.
The chain and brake pads are supplied by me and they will order a tyre and wheel bearings.
Total cost £330.
Would this be considered a rip off?

If you are incapable of maintaining your bike, then no.
And why would you be supplying a chain - surely its barely any dearer at the LBS than CRC/Wiggle or wherever you bought it?
what's the labour and parts split and what work are they doing otherwise?
cup and cone or cartridge bearings?
what tyre? could be £45 or pound £15...

Its a motorbike! The chains been on for two years so 15,000 miles

That's cheap if a motorbike, unless its a little 'un.
But wheel bearings? In all my years biking/year-round commuting I've never had wheel bearings go.
Cheaper than my GSXR-1000K8, first MOT last year.

On top of the £250 for the service. It better breeze it this year, it's only done 500 miles since.
I thought that sounded like a fairly realistic price for a MTB, so it sounds very reasonable for a motorbike. Then again, I know nothing of motorcycles, so they may well have your pants down...
It is a little un a 250. Im assuming the wheel bearings are shot because it doesnt turn very freely. Spindles alright
15000 miles from a chain and sprockets? You need to clean and lube it more often.
Failing that, invest in a Scotoiler once the new chain's fitted.
I must admit i dont do it often enough. Tyre has lasted well tho. And its a bridgestone bt90 so nice and soft. One thing i wont skimp on.
Doesn't seem too extortionate compared to my mates R1 costs, but I suspect more maintenance would help.
