I'll hazard a guess. Even the nicest, most likeable, understanding woman still wants to be in control. I don't see it as a bad thing, and it's not a concious thing, but ladies just like to be the organisers, the superintendants.
I'm sure that will raise a lot of hackles, ho hum. But that's perhaps why men feel like the reins have been let off when their ladies are not around. Blokes are far more relaxed and easy going at home. The world can just float around them, they don't care. They don't feel like they need to do stuff, generally, because they know it's not that important. Ladies like to have an agenda, even if it's about buying a pint of milk.
I don't even get anal/bone moments on my birthday, these days.

This true .... I'm recently single and certain things have defo slipped. Basically realised that she did tons round the flat and got me to do stuff. Washing/tidying/general cleaning have all but stopped. I keep ontop of the clothes mainly cos riding gym necessitates.. Pots always clean but the flat is a lot less girly
It's a lot quieter which I don't like though..and the lack of company is pants
