Hopefully.

All we have to do is ask him about the Smiths.

"I see no difference between eating animals and paedophilia"

Internet gives silly man a trumpet

It's good news though, if you ever meet him, just tell him you're a carnivore and he'll **** off and annoy someone else.

I think he'd feel more fulfilled, Making Christmas cards, with the mentally ill.

He was an arsehole before he said this. Anyone who didn't see it before needs to question their own analytical process.

I kind of agree with him.

What gives a human the right to kill something? We're apes and do pretty good on nuts and vegetables yet we're happy to have industrial meat processing facilities? Peadophillia, as society calls it, is a historically more natural occurrence (beyond the beginning of the menstrual cycle) than industrial meat plants, breeding millions of chickens and killing all the male chicks, you know that kind of ****ed up shit people turn a blind eye too.

God there are some right sanctimonious hippy trolls on the comments page on there...

What is he going to do next start saying all Lions and sharks are peado's because they eat meat as well?

I'm fine with people being veggie if they want to but no need to start telling everyone they are disgusting for doing something which is completely natural and our bodies have evolved to do so over millions of years.

We're apes

no we're not, we just have the same common ancestors as apes. We've evolved in our way with the diet thats available to us and our energy requirements and they've evolved in theirs. Due to our big calorie-hungry brains being different to other primates and we have and need a different diet to them.

However we've changed the world around us and have gathered and selectively bred storable energy rich foods like cereals and potatoes so as of the last few centuries you can now make a fair stab of living without meat - but thats only because of an unnatural situation we've created. We now can do it, but its not in our nature to have always done that, and before the development of farming and world trade and travel our human ancestors couldn't have lived that way - on a diet of seasonal nuts, twigs, seeds and berries - there just wouldn't be the calories that we need.

Not too well up on your natural history are you; I think you'll find most apes, and probably monkeys as well, are omnivores, just like humans. I mean, have you seen the canine teeth on some of the larger apes?
They're not averse to cannibalism, either, happily attacking, killing and eating other apes. Chimps in particular can be spectacularly violent towards other chimp groups.
When primates eat their own

Chimpanzees: Of all the great apes, chimpanzees resort to cannibalism most often. Typically, males will kill and eat the infant of another female, usually in their own group but occasionally in another. When chimps kill adults from other groups in a fight, they do not eat the body.

Gorillas: In the 1970s, primatologist Dian Fossey found remains of two gorillas in the faeces of a mother gorilla and her daughter. Nothing has been reported since.

Orang-utans: Two instances of cannibalism have been documented in orang-utans living wild in Sumatra. In both cases, the mothers ate their infants after carrying their corpses around for several days. David Dellatore of Oxford Brookes University in the UK, who observed both events, thinks they were due to stress.

Humans: Cut marks on 800,000-year-old hominin remains from Atapuerca, Spain, and more recent fossilised Neanderthal bones suggest that our distant ancestors ate the flesh of their own species. More recently, thousand-year-old bones discovered in the American Southwest bear clear signs of butchery. There are even signs of cannibalism in the human genome: a mutation has been found in Papua New Guineans that protects them from kuru, a prion disease transmitted through cannibalism.

I believe they supplement their diets with monkeys in the wet season when fruits are sparse. It's a rare occasion I think.

I'm with JCL.

Whilst I don't agree with Morrissey's sentiments, I am ok with him having thoughts outside the norm and expressing as he sees fit. If a newspaper wants to report on them, that is their business, but they will generally always try and make Morrissey out to have extreme views because it sells papers.

I don't find his opinion anywhere near as distasteful as wishing another human dead or in a coma because of their commitment to animal rights.

The term "Ape" has several meanings, the main one being scientific classication of the super family Hominoidea, of which humans most definitely belong. It contains many species that are vegetarian and many that aren't. It's all pretty irrelevant, as we are humans, and we pretty much have free choice to eat what we like. I eat meat but if I had to kill, skin, gut, drain the piss from the bladder, etc, I doubt I would bother.

Calm yourself Dunc.

OP was merely a play on Morrissy's own, overly dramatic comment:

"Morrissey also threatened to "slip into permanent unconsciousness" if any journalist ever asked him again about the Smiths."

I'd prefer he'd stick to talking about the Smiths to be honest ๐Ÿ™‚

Perhaps he could also insist that his autobiography be published as a Penguin classic.....oh wait a minute. What breathtaking modesty from one who has contributed so much!!!!

Agreed not any different from religious extremists trying to force there views and beliefs on people, and the whiny littles turds on here who want to censor the OPs title and content because it hurts their little princess feelings!

Sadly Morrissey has degenerated into a fairly pointless, attention-seeking cock these days.
Shame on the media for giving him a voice, there are plenty of other, less self-serving people out there with much more interesting things to say.

If he see no difference between eating animals and paedophilia then kinda wonder how he manages to walk past someone eating a burger without causing some sort of a fuss - or would he just walk past someone in the process of molesting a child?

Still winding people up after all these years. Despite being into angrier more aggressive music there was always something I liked about him. Whether it's speaking his mind or just to get re noticed I don't care.

Is Morrissey vegan? If he uses dairy products, his feigned concern for 'baby lambs' is pretty hollow.

Good on the lad if he is.

Love the Smiths - hence the username, but yes, Mozzer really, really is a tool.

Nevermind, if we judged music and art on the merits of it's creators, there'd be very little of merit to look at or listen to at all.
That Caravaggio was a bit of a lad, by all accounts.
