Not had any issues with it before, but my Hero has recently decided that it doesn't like Hotmail, and won't find it any more.
It still allows me to browse the web log into FB, pick up googlemail, etc, but hotmail just comes up blank.

I know Hotmail has just had a facelift, but that shouldn't affect it's visibility to mobile devices, should it?

I'm on firmware 1.5, if that's relevant.

Any ideas?

GMail puts Hotmail to shame. Granted not a solution, but Give up and sack Hotmail off is my advice.

Bonty, I use both Hot and G-mail: Sadly, much of my email still comes to me via hotmail, so I can't just sack it, although I agree it is a pile o' pants.
Bigyinn, do you know where I'll find cache and cookies on a Hero? It's clearly not obvious as I've tried a few times without any success.

I'm sure you have already thought about this but you could send an e-mail out to everybody in your contacts list telling them your changing your addy. I've had to do it. Took a while to get back all the important contacts that i needed but i'm a happier person without more microsoft guff in my life. Hope you find a solution mate, i can relate to the frustration that can come from seemingly random software faults.

Yep, I've done that before, but after 12 years of using hotmail, having plugged the same email addy into every internet retailer, ebay, forums, etc and given away 1000s of business cards with it on, I can't quite get rid of it... Yet!
It wasn't a problem until a fortnight ago, and now the Hotmail 'page' comes up blank... every time.
Grrr, etc.

EDIT; Found and cleared cache. Let's see if that helps!
Edit again; nope, still nothing. Pah.

Hotmail apparently has recently been tweaked and gives problems on a number of browsers, so it may not just be your Android system that's at fault.
Try installing another browser, Opera or Dolphin, then trying again.

I used to use Yahoo mail for years then started using Google in about 04/05. Google became my primary account but I still have subscriptions etc that link to Yahoo - easy peasy because Yahoo justs forwards everything to Google. If necessary, Google can set the "sent from" account as Yahoo so I can still "use" my Yahoo account if need be.

All in all, it doesn't seem to make any sense to stick with Hotmail especially if you're on an Android phone. Just start moving stuff across.

If you upgrade your Android version to 2.1, which is now officially supported, the embedded email client(s) can be setup more easily to use any internet based email such as Hotmail, than in the V1.5 Android you've got at the moment.

There are a few bugs with the 2.1 release though, but overall i've found it better to live with & use.

Thanks all.
Spent most of beer o'clock yesterday upgrading the firmware to the latest, via HTC's website.
NOW I realise I should've done it via the unofficial (better) flashes on android forums or XDA forums, but hey, at least it's working now, and better than before: faster GPS acquisition, better 3G at home, etc, and both Hot- and G- mail accounts.
