Love the Moomins 😀

I always think it is about 10 kronor to the pound, it fluctuates a bit but when I am in Sweden that is the figure I convert in my head

the Moomins were/are just wierd. We had to watch it quite a bit about 8 years ago when the girls were little - the one in the blue hat looked the oddest.
That wall does look pretty cool though 🙂

You do realise that when he starts school, this is the kind of thing that other parents whisper about in hushed tones, behind their hands, while trying to avoid eye contact. And why none of his mates will be allowed to come round for tea.

Well... that and the cowboy boots

You do know that if you stand rubbing your thighs - Vic Reeves style - while sporting cowboy boots, outside a school, you'll get arrested?

I'm more of a Pat Mustard than Vic Reeves. Pat wears cowboy boots as well..

I always found the original Finnish series of the Moomins to be very, very sinister. Along with the theme tune to 'Let's Pretend'.

Sent the wallpaper link to my project director, it'll go with her Moomin pants...

No, but she was so overcome with joy upon finding them on sale in Topshop, she did buy them and proceeded to tell everyone about them. Repeatedly! 😀

I had a design manager on a previous project who did show me (and everyone else on the team) his Spongebob Squarepants boxer shorts…

Definitely not cool to do. A lady discussing her moomin pants but not a bloke in his spongebob pants!

It was a rhetorical question/post. Google will also translate into any foreign language that you chose.

Of course moomins are sinister - Finnish are a bit sinister and swedes not much better. All good kids stories are a bit sinister.

My fave character was snuf****.

Old moomins was properly terrifying. But there's a sanitised version now that doesn't cause nightmares. Kids these days eh.

My Dad still refers to them as "those scary ghosty hippo things". I've not seen it for at least 20 years, so I can't imagine he's seen it since, but it clearly scarred him.

Mumintrollen, or moomins, used to be in the daily papers as comic strips.

In England, you have naked women instead.
