We've recently got a Mac book pro (retina display) and I wanted to migrate the music from our older HP laptop onto the Macbook.
When I previously did this between laptops I used an ethernet cable which worked but the new Macbook doesn't have an ethernet port.
Tried to do it over the wireless router but doesn't seem to work or it's so slow that I don't notice it working.
What's the best solution for a rapid transfer of the music files? We've probably talking 35gb. I don't have an external drive large enough to use as a go-between so am looking for a direct transfer method.
Would it be faster to connect the HP to the router via ethernet cable and then the files can go via the wireless router to the Macbook?
