Monica Rachel?
Make sure you check the acronym on any choice.

Probably not anything beginning with M... Remember that the last letter of the acronym may change!

What was second choice after Phoebe? Use that (unless it doesn't go).

Funny how names come round - loads of Phoebes amongst my friends' kids.

Do you need one? Wife and brother in law don't have one. Find that more interesting than discussing other peoples middle names.

Or Dave.

My great aunt had her mother's maiden name for a middle name (Ellis), as that was quite a prestigious family and I guess they didn't want to lose the connection entirely. I've always thought that's quite a nice way of coming up with a middle name with significance to it.

Our 2nd was going to get the wife's middle name as a middle name. But we decided Jane* wasn't approprite when it turned out to be a boy. So he got my middle name as it is also both grandfathers first names.

* I know, bit of a plain (no pun intended) name. But apart from being the wife's middle name we thought it went well with the chosen first name. Poppy Jane.

We have a middle name for boys in our family that has been passed down the generations. Silly really.

or makes people think you have such a terrible middle name that you won't tell them what it is...

Do you have a crystal ball? Names & significance of names can change with time, I doubt that my grandparents would name their cottage "Gaylands" & very much doubt I or my neighbour would have been christened Richard had we been born into more recent times.

Something that rhymes, like mine.
It's a great ice breaker.
Especially when your name also rhymes with your Brothers..

My parents were smocking something I reckon ๐Ÿ˜†

Your parents might have been onto a good idea. This day is going downhill, fast.

I don't have a middle name.

My dad has my grandad's first name as a middle name.

My grandad hated his given name so much he called himself something else.

I'm quite pleased not to have a legacy like that, tbh.

My sister recently played the ace card of using my grandma's maiden name for her daughter's middle name. As the last of the Deboos die out with my grandma's generation, little Joni's instantly become the favourite grandchild. All's fair in the favouritism wars!

Jessica Hyde?

On the middle name passed down the eldest boy in my Family was given William and the next James. I like the idea as it's a connection that I can see going back a long time in my family.
