Anyone else watching? Bode looked his usual ragged self, but fast! Would love him to win it, just love the way he goes for a win or bust!

Stumbled across this on telly just as it started. Result!
It's turning into a proper race. Excellent stuff.

TV never does the gradient justice in my experience (Val's Face etc)
Never been to Whistler but that looks proper hairy.

Thing is, you can't have the whole of the downhill on a black slope anyway...it would only last seconds then. As we all know, given enough speed coming in, you can hare down a blue slope. It's the flat or offish camber turns at breakneck speed that impress me...imagine how our mortal thighs would feel on some of those turns??! And those jumps...Jeebus, I end up on my arse most times if I leave the ground for a few inches going slowly.

I'm finding that Canadian woman that's helping the beeb out rather annoying though.

Agreed. MILF, but she keeps looking at the camera in a rather annoying way.

Speaking of the ladies - as both Clare and the canadian doris were waxing lyrical about Lyndsay Vonn, i thought i'd take a look - suggest you do too - early runner for Friday's A&A imo - i'm not around to include her sadly - i'll be in oireland, shooting a wedding......

I wonder why La Balders was so keen on La Vonn.... 😉

Balders is a top lass, by the way!

Canadian has a fairly severe countenance - not to my taste Flash, so we won't be having a dust up at Creekside 🙂

Agreed, she is top is Balders.

I skied the Dave Murray downhill back in November before I knew the Olympics were going to run on it.
It was the steepest groomed slope I've ever been on and I kept wondering why they had the safety nets so high.
On some corners the tops of the nets were 30 feet off the ground.
Took me about 10 minutes to ski from top to bottom and I consider myself a decent skier.
Kinda like watching Peaty ride a downhill and then wondering why I even call myself a mountain biker.

I boarded it Papa...was knackered at the bottom. Definitely needed an espresso and a beer at Dustys.
