What do people think? Why’s she brought Epstein up again at this point?

I've seen her press conference referred to as a "prebutal". Suggesting that she's trying to control the narrative and get ahead of some kind of reputational bombshell that might be about to drop. Seen a few rumours swirling about on SM, but nothing of substance. Yet....
Being Donald Trump - you could almost argue he can't help it. Nature or nurture made him what he is.

That press conference was a great way to distract from the Iran debacle. Seems clear from tweets that a former friend from her past was threatening to disclose "stuff". I hope said former friend is still safe and well.
Pretty sure she would be the latest ex-wife were it not for him being president. Whatever their truth, they both need to keep to the same story at the moment.

Her past and continued professionalism cannot be overlooked. Like Marla Maples She did the obligatory 1 kid by him to be set for life, and I`m pretty sure she has copied Marla Maples in other ways too - no doubt there are `special' bodyguards around her a lot because she spends so little actual time with Trump.
Sad thing is, she will wake up one morning to the realisation that there really are some things money cant buy, and time is one of them.
I think the idea that a big story is about to drop that is credible and places both trumps ar the centre ofthe epstein story is probable.

yes - Wolff called her bluff - countered her threat of a law suit with the fact of one. When she threated to sue him for $1bn and crowd funded a counter suit. Puts her in a position where she can be questioned under oath regarding Epstein. Clearly not the outcome she anticipated and she has gone to quite considerable lengths to evade having the papers served to her.

As I'm not on social.media I've no idea what the rumours are but it dis come across as a preemptive statement before something shocking is announced. Given the news and all the other stuff going on with news these days, it seems unlikely that whatever it is will be shocking.
Everything seems to be dumbed down or dulled down so that the stuff we used to be properly shocked about just garners a tut and we moved on.
Every time I see her speaking, I'm amazed how bad her English is. I know it sounds snobby, but she's been married to DT for what, 20+ years? I assume she's lived in the US most of that time and yet she sounds about competent as I did during my French GCSE oral exams (I didn't get a very good grade...)

Thats just a legal arrangement. They don't live together, or even spend much time together. She has spent most of that time with her parents, speaking mostly Slovenian (often to keep Secret Service personnel for eavesdropping), and with Barron who for much of his younger life had a strong Slovenian accent. He certainly didnt sound like someone who'd ever spoken to, or even heard, his dad much. He's apparently now getting elocution lessons.
Although Trump campaigns against 'chain migration' US citizenship conferred on her parents in pretty short order too.

is it Ungaro threatening to spill the beans, or that Wolf has called her bluff and crowdfunded a legal fight, as the new joke goes after starting a war with Iran to distract from the Epstein files they are now talking about the Epstein files to distract from the war or that she is trying to distance herself from Trump.
My guess is it will be something that in 20-50 years time anyone reading the history books will go "why the **** did dissonance not see the obvious!" Which isnt overly helpful now.

I've no issues with how she sounds when she speaks - it is so infrequent it makes no odds. English isn't native language for many people.
Given the position she is in, she could be doing a lot more promoting and publicity of the good things she is trying to get done (although I've no idea what those are). That kind of stuff is very likely to really wind Donald up.

Haha. She's only there to do the minimum possible, and get as much money as she can while in that position. Much like she has done for all of her adult life.

More a remark about the visa system being gamed in some way - 'Einstein Visas' are supposed to be fast tracked citizenship for people with exceptional talent. (not necessarily scientists as the name suggests - could be sports people, musicians, movies stars etc) its not inconceivable that a model could come into the country via that programme but they would need to be an exceptionally successful model. Melania is known to be a model becuase she's never really had any other job so theres no other description to apply to her - but she's also really done very little modelling and wasn't especially successful at it or well known for it.
In a way Trump and Melania were made for each other. It was quite fashionable at the time for successful business men to have successful models as a spouse. They were both a sort of trophy for each other - being attractive to beautiful women showed how successful you were, bagging yourself a millionaire was a mark of how successful a model you were. Trump wasn't a successful buisiness man but pretended to be, Melania wasn't a successful model - but pretended to be.

I think on the language front - she seems to live quite a friendless life, sort of bubbled with her parents and son. You needn't expect someone speaking a second language to speak perfectly, but you'd expect after 20 years to able to speak comfortably and she just doesn't seem to speak like someone who converses in English all that often.
There was an interesting remark I heard the other day in a review of her film - that the only other people who feature in it are people in paid service roles - stylists, interior designers etc. No friends, no colleagues.

I don't think he pays much attention to her to be honest - her book outlines a range of views that run contrary to Trumps political agenda - particularly on abortion and immigration. And was launched during his election campaign, which you'd think would be, err, sub optimal from an electioneering point of view. But he was fine with that in the sense he hadn't read it.
His position on her book was basically that you should buy it, unless it says anything mean about him in which case you shouldn't.

It's very clear what profession she is successful at. She is a real Pretty Woman for sure .. unfortunately for her Trump was no Ed Lewis.
What a waste of a life. No amount of money is worth selling yourself for what she has for the last 20years .. one morning she wakes up and realises that; it's very sad.
