A little bit boring , but as the title says I'm having surgery for this next week (23rd dec) . Steroids , physio and regular icing have failed to work over the last 2 and a half years. I'm having a tendon release done and just want to know if anyone has had it done and how long am I likely to be off the bike . I normally ride just trail centre stuff . Anyone got any good tips for afterwards . Thanks

Golfers elbow?

I had Tennis elbow (lateral)release surgery 4+ years ago. 3 weeks of doing absolutely nothing with that arm. Then 3 months of thinking it was a waste of time as it was still useless and painful.

Then 3 months of it slowly improving to the point where I now dont have any symptoms, other than if I've done something stoopid to aggravate it.

I started running after a couple of months just to hang on to some fitness. No riding for 6 months.

Worth it in the end, but it wasn't a pleasant time. At least you should be fit by summer.

And it's a lot better than the 4 years of pain and sleepless night and dropped cups and plates and not being able to fix anything and .......

Good luck.
