I couldn't get their movie link to work but found this on YouTube.

It looks pretty good and a bit safer than random chopping.

Do your have to wear seventies Scandanavian health and safety gear to operate it?

£140! Blimey, that makes a hand-forged Scandi axe look cheap! Safer to use, though...

I prefer making a racket in the boiler room with a cheap blunt axe.

Nice idea, but you would have thought for that price they would have designed it with some kind of mechanical advantage in the pivot.

You wouldn't let your Doris near you hand forged axe though.
Great idea but I preferred the stove with the folding doors.

More importantly did anyone notice he drives a BMW up a hill in snow, so the whole thing must be fake.

I just buy big bags of the stuff from a farmer. £10's worth last a winter.

Doesn't look anywhere as near as fun as using an axe.

I bet it wouldn't split 2 foot long bits on knotty oak. As for kindling I have 5 kilometres of 100 year old roof battening so I can't see one of those being on the Xmas list.

What a colossal mincer that bloke in the video is!

Chopping wood is the manliest thing he'll ever do and now he's got his missus to do it for him. She should be in the kitchen making pies and looking pretty whilst he is outside smashing wood to bit with his massive chopper. Grrr.
