I've just consumed my first bit of Stollen this year ...om nom nom ๐
that is all ...as you were people
Only ever had one good un (and I forget where from! Noooooooooooo..), all the rest are talc dry and don't have enough marzipan in them
On my 3rd from Aldi already (not all today). ๐
Did you report it to the police?
(Where's my coat...)
love Stollen!
Co-Ops stollen bites were always nice n moist..
Yeah the stollen bites always tend to be a bit nicer. Got some from Sainsbury's yesterday. Didn't last 5 minutes.
Stollen bites from Aldi or Lidl, marvellous things. They make a great crumble topping too for a seasonal apple crumble, just whizz them in a blender and cover the fruit before baking in the oven.
Another thumbs up for the co-op bites, but also try Morrison's as well.
OP, did you find the culprit?
om nom nom nom ....NO ...om nom nom nom
Don't ever look at the 'dietary info' on the Aldi stollen bites! Mind you - hasn't stopped me scoffing the best part of a pack in one sitting ๐
Marzipan contains cyanide.. eat 6.2kgs of it it and its curtains.
Over 2 weeks ago for our house and the first stollen of this winter, strange how it doesn't last long?

Pffft. It's just a matter of conditioning.
6.2kg of marzipan... </drools> it'd be worth it
Damn you - I am trying to resist after my seeming addiction over the last few years. Not sure how long it will last.
One I bought from Aldi few weeks ago must have been last year's, as it was dry as heck. And the marzipan was a 10mm dia "rod" down one side. Them Stollen bites take some avoiding, I can tell you.
My pal used to bring home made stollen over from Germany. Nom nom nom indeed.
Warm with ice cream. mmmmmmmmm
