I could do with some sort of free standing Karate strike pad for home that doesn’t take up much room when it isn’t in use. We use hand held pads at the club but the missus is a lot smaller than me and she get knocked all over the show when she’s is holding it for the bigger lads and she doesn’t want to do it at home as well.
Any ideas?

If you've got the space a punch bag is probably best. You can just unhook it when not in use. If you wanted to go really compact you could get a wall mounted makiwara but they are somewhat limited.
