Visiting the in-laws and going for a walk in Savernake forest today.
Can anyone recommend a good pub lunch around Marlborough please?

We used to meet up as a family at the castle and ball. It’s ok. Decent pub chain stuff but started to get a bit average.
we then started eating at the Marlborough a bit further west on the same side of the rd. Great Sunday roasts and a nice cosier pub atmosphere. Will book there again soon.
Not in Marlborough but... Mayfly in Stockbridge is great on a nice day. You can tickle rainbow trout in the river from the beer garden.
