Makes little difference could you pay the running costs with out their backing, the answer is no. Same goes for every club with indulgent owners/sugar daddies. Cardiff are the same, Man U (huge world brand means someone would pick them up) I think only Arsenal seem financially sound of the big clubs.

Football financing is non-sustainable. Real Madrid are achingly in debt but propped up bay the Spanish "system".
I can't believe that FIFAs fair play stuff will have much effect - people will find ways round it.

So Etihad, Emirates, JJB, Rich etc ... football clubs should be run as legitimate businesses not toys for rich boys.

In some kind of justice the money actually goes to those who play - which people still find unforgivable. Financial fair play needs to happen properly across all leagues. It may stop some of the mad spending sprees that have lead to only the richest clubs being able to afford to win/buy the league.
