The blue side of Manchester have suddenly gone really quite! !!!!!!!
Wonder why!!!!
Come on SIR ALEX keep em coming !!!!!!!
Sir Alex = Crusty Knob cheese. Not from Manchester and couldn't give a toss.
That second by RVP was why they paid so much for him, interestingly giggs now has as many league wins as Arsenal.
gone really quite! !!!!!!!
Yes feeling very "quite" 🙄

Compared to the Red Side of the Home Counties & London... 🙄
Is it the time to mention 'wendyball' yet?
I thought all of Manchester was the blue side, no?

Utd buying title shocker!!!
Thought they'd never spent a penny!!
Well done!! The most consistent team over the season.
Utd fan so obsessed with City has to start thread MAN CITYYY!!!
rather than we've won the title. bit weird!
...this is how it feels to be small...
TBH, it seems to be ManYoo who are obsessed with Citeh these days ...
So congratulations on your 20 title. In a very mundane Prem , you played the best.
We were useless at the start of the session - everyone sat back on their laurels. Way too many draws and no killer touch.
It says all you need to know that Chelsea are third and Arsenal could end up 4th. Arsenal have been truly dire.
The Champions League seems to support a poor year for English teams.
RvP was the big difference - let's see how robust he proves to be in the future. Rooney will leave - he won't want to be second fiddle. And the fact that Giggs is still a first team choice says more about some of the ManYoo signings rather than Gigg's ability to play on past 40.
Shame about the treble that was "in the bag", BTW
Must admit though Van Persie made THE difference. Inspired signing. Good team work setup around him too. At City would he have had the same support? No.
City won their one title.
TBH, I think Citeh would have given him the same support. The ManYoo team is far from being a classic ( however not as lazy as the Citeh stars)
Yes, we won one title. But it was good to see the smug banner come down. And the way we won it was even better 🙂
As a supporter for 45 years that felt good.
We are waiting until the reign of SAF finishes and the Glazers want out and ManYoo has to support all the leveraged loans . Liverpool were an important team once, as well ....
..and Notts Forest?
and City's money is secure???? If the Abu Dhabi group pull out where would City be? Same goes for Chelsea and the Russian.and the Glazers want out and ManYoo has to support all the leveraged loans
The finances of football are phuked its just a matter of when not if.
The Abu Dhabi Group haven't used the club as collateral ....
TBH IF the Glazers and ADG both went Man U would be the most desirable to buy (I support neither team)- you must admit.
The Abu Dhabi Group haven't used the club as collateral ....Makes little difference could you pay the running costs with out their backing, the answer is no. Same goes for every club with indulgent owners/sugar daddies. Cardiff are the same, Man U (huge world brand means someone would pick them up) I think only Arsenal seem financially sound of the big clubs.
You should all be like the mighty Swans prudent and exciting 😆
Truth is I am not a footy fan at all but am fascinated how such a game seems to generate so much money. David Conn has written some great stuff about football finances.
Odd OP - celebrate your title by looking at Old Trafford, not at the Etihad (EDIT: Early...)!
Utd deserved it this year, RVP goals in the first half of the season were the key difference given the indifferent form of both City and Utd for long stretches.
This is who won the title...
Stunning! As he has been all season. He's no Andy Carrol, admittedly. But we don't have that kind of money nowadays 😆
There are some very, very, very bitter, not to mention delusional, fayns out there this morning. 😆

Football financing is non-sustainable. Real Madrid are achingly in debt but propped up bay the Spanish "system".
I can't believe that FIFAs fair play stuff will have much effect - people will find ways round it.
Naming rights for a stadium or grounds etc?
Much as it hurst me to say so, yes ...
So Etihad, Emirates, JJB, Rich etc ... football clubs should be run as legitimate businesses not toys for rich boys.
However, there is a huge imbalance now, just as there was "then"
ManYoo always loved the "richest club in the world" title
It is a sahme that the Notts County, or Swansea fan will never have any chance of their teams lifting the title. Unless things change.
And BTW, I have seen 40 years of suffering!

OH BOO-HOO. We are two games away from the 1st division. Currently above the drop.

The Eddy Jordan F1 comments are similar
Q - How do you make a small fortune in F1?
A - Start with a big one
In some kind of justice the money actually goes to those who play - which people still find unforgivable. Financial fair play needs to happen properly across all leagues. It may stop some of the mad spending sprees that have lead to only the richest clubs being able to afford to win/buy the league.
This season, Man u bought the best striker available and he won them the title.
The season before, City bought the best striker available and he won them the title.
Next season, City will buy Suarez. And he will win them the title. And that will be funny.

or eat the rest of the squad, which will actually be funnier 🙂
If he can do Yaya Toure in one sitting , he is more than a man than I will ever be ...
He's no Andy Carrol, admittedly
Come on you Irons! Can't believe liverfool screwed up by giving us him 😉
RVP has been a thorn in many a teams side this season and Man U deserve the title.
Its a shame City got rid of Balotelli. Him and Suarez up front would have created a critical mass of bonkersness that would indeed have been hilarious
