Is there an idiot proof app that will allow us to design posters for our shop? They will need to be printed A1 size.
It would need to be able to let us do pictures and then add text.
I would really think that you need Adobe Illustrator or similar.
Bear in mind that if you are printing at A1 your image files will need to be high resolution or they will look pixelated when printed out.
You can now get a license for Illustrator on a monthly basis.
However it may well be quicker and cheaper to find a local graphic designer/illustrator/sign writer to do this for you.
It's why Adobe Illustrater was invented. And Indesign.
They've pretty much got a monopoly on that type of thing. If you're going to have to get them printed A1 at decent quality, you're going to need to use that I'd think.
Or get a graphic designer to put them together for you. Maybe someone off here. Hmmmmm there must be someone......

You can use Apples Pages app which would do the job.
And there also the new Affinity Designer from Serif.

There would be a learning curve with both though.
Yeah, unless you want to do anything fancy, Pages will do you fine.

If you are going to use images make sure they are high quality of they won't scale up well to that size for printing
Word. And Microsoft Paint. Just adjust the page dimensions.
