Basically on friday I spoke to a company and they asked me to send my c.v to them. I know it's only been a couple of days, but should I cnsider calling them again just to check they got it etc?

Or will that come across as being desperate for a job ( which I am)?

Call them on Wednesday, I think it shows initiative and interest.

If they have lost it or dont want to speak to you perhaps they are not the sort of company you want to work with.

I got my current job by ringing them. I got interviewed, failed the interview and then rang them back to ask if I could have another go. The guy they took on only lasted two days, so they said yes, I got reinterviewed and got the job. So give it a go.

Definiately. It shows initiative and that you are keen. How did you send the CV? If by email, then I would ring same day. If by ground mail then probably give it a couple of days, possibly after 16:00 today.

You will only seem desperate if you sound desperate. There's nothing wrong with demonstrating enthusiasm to work for a company.
