Hall, bathroom and kitchen floor in my flat have this "real wood top layer" laminate flooring. This type of stuff:

http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?fh_view_size=10&fh_eds=%3f&fh_reffacet=specificationsProductType&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB%2fcategories%3C{9372013}%2fcategories%3C{9372028}%2fcategories%3C{9372109}%2fspecificationsProductType%3dreal_wood_top_layer&fh_refview=summary&fh_refpath=facet_159016185

It's been down for 6 years now and is starting to look a bit tired in places (in front of sink etc). Any ideas what I can do to maintain it? Can I polish it or oil it?

Any advice gratefully received!
