Obviously cars that are too old but my mates after a Tiquan and theres one at the local auctions 09 with 50k, but sold by main VW dealer. Avoid?

It will probably be a trade in, they don't put cars below a certain value on the forecourt as it detracts from the 'brand value'.

Age , Milage, condition and history will all effect the dealers decision to forcourt or auction. Or time spent sitting on said forcourt not selling, taking up space and not generating turnover / profit.
Some dealers auction every P/X as company policy to avoid dealing with traders and possible insider dealing.
So , no doesnt mean its a dud at all.

This and they like to sell finance on a new car. I wouldn't neccesserily avoid it

I think VW have a 45k limit on their second hand stock for resale if I remember rightly

I had a scirocco for 3 years and put about 60k on it and it went stright to the auction.
