For some reason when buying a minidisplay port adapter for my macbook I bought a DVI model thinking I will use a dvi to vga adapter in the mix too. This would then be future proof when I get a new HD monitor with DWI later.
I now have:
MAC > MiniDisplay Port > DVI > VGA > Monitor.
The Mac OS recognises the display and the manufacturer of the monitor but it wont display on the on the monitor as if its not getting the signal outboud to the monitor but it is getting something inbound to the mac as that knows the monitor type.
Any ideas?
