I prefer Isn't Anything, but have never really got MBV, I get bored listening to them. Prefer JAMC.
There are things that have tried to sound like it, but you're right there's something unique and unapproachable about it.

the sonics on some of the songs sound like you're in one of those four-propellor aeroplanes, just ambling along...amazing stuff, and the album sounds slightly different each time you listen to it.
