OK it won't come in time so...

Ideas for good weather for next week if possible- Scotland still changeable weather?

Cornwall too far(?) Where else/ideas for multiple things to do within reason etc?

I'd love to go to the Isle of Skye etc though!

It might be the last opportunity you had before needing a visa.

If we were in the treaty I'd have lost my ID card..sods law.

Lost passport = 'emergency' appointment (rocking horse teeth) then one week wait. Renewal = same day if you can get a free slot.

Get up to the Hebrides - Inner or Outer - and accept that, just like in Belgium, there's a chance of bad weather. We spent this week last year touring the Hebrides from Vatersay up to Tarbert on Harris, then down Skye and across Ardnamurchan and it was - despite a couple of iffy days- one of the best weeks I've ever had.

Don't go to the Hebrides, it'll be rubbish, absolutely awful, you'll wish you'd never even heard of them. Terrible place, utterly dreadful. No one in their right would go there, least of all next week. I'm sure the week after will be fine though.

Have I told you we're going to India in November?

Last time I needed a passport quickly, I went to the office for it opening at 9am, and had a new one by midday.
