2.5 year old, Samsung S7, had battery replaced last week by Samsung approved repairer, as I like the phone and have no other need to change it, it just wasn't lasting as long.
Since then, the thing seems to really struggle picking up a 4G signal, I'll get it at home, but I live right across from the exchange and the phone masts on the roof, so If I'm gonna get it anywhere, it'll be there. Anywhere else, bugger all, and our area is really well served with wifi.
They are coming back on thursday to look at it, anything else I can try in the meantime? I'd rather not have them come all the way here for something simple.
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
from the dialer pad, dial *#*#4636#*#*
tap on phone information
look at "Set preferred network type:"
SHould be something like LTE/UMTS auto (PRL)
or LTE/CDMA/UMTS auto (PRL)
etc
What is yours set at?
EDIT: also who is your network provider?
Aye, tried everything I can think of, seen a few things online too, tried that.
Sounds to me like they tore the antenna cable when they disassembled it.
Aye, I had thought that, but it works sometimes...
Have you tried not living in Ayrshire?
That can't be helping. ๐
Aye, I really should move to that big post industrial zombie infested heaven down the 74....
